Chapter five: BEING A PRISONER 2 (VERDUN LETTER )
" my master??" Betty voice came out low and confuse " how can I serve who kill my parents " looking up at the man he chuckle deeply then shake his head still smiling " you little thing, you have a sharp tongue for your age " he hold my hand then pull me close to him, his face one inch away from mine " I like you little one"
" but I don't like you " stepping back I shake my head " you killed my mama and papa "
" that's true" deccan look sad " I feel sad, if you give me that necklace I will let you go, I won't harm you or your little rabbit " looking at his face my gaze move to the other man standing beside me
The necklace is protecting me from them, giving them my necklace I might die. I shake my head holding bunny tight, Deccan look annoyed, his hands move to my hair holding it tight and I scream in pain as his nails scratch my skull " you will do as I say"
" no!!" I scream, tears flowing from my eyes, silence fell that the only sound you could hear is that of my whimpering, he let go of my hair then grab bunny from my hands " don't hurt him!!" I begged but he only smirk widely
" give me the necklace and I will stop " remaining still I watch him pull out bunny tiny hands, his foot then heart, tears keep flowing freely as I fall to the floor " bunny!!" I cry, my body trembling from everything that's happening " will you give me that necklace now or you want to suffer more "
" mama said..." Sniffing I look up at him " is wrong to hate people so I won't hate you" the both men burst out laughing like I said something funny, remaining still Deccan smile
" Knox" Deccan look at the other man " take her to the punishment room, deal with her till she find it hard to breath " watching Knox nod he grab my hand and pull me with him towards a cold room, grip my clothes off my body leaving me naked with only the necklace on before pushing me in
Hugging my arm to my self I rob my body, it feels like I have been thrown into a refrigerator, I couldn't help but to shiver " release it " before I could react, the ceiling above open as cold water pour down on my body, it won't stop, my body kept shivering from how cold the water is, I couldn't breath probably and by the time the water fill the whole room, I held my breath hitting the door
My stamina was slowly reducing, my whole body feels weak and when I know am about to give up the ghost, tiny holes appear beneath my feet, pulling the water into them
Coughing I place my hands on my chest trying to catch my breath as I vomit water, Knox move towards my direction then bend down to my level " hand over the necklace " coughing I shake my head but one thought remain, handing them the necklace I will die, do not hand it to them I will still die
Why not give it to them then die a quick death " still stubborn little one " Knox grab me by the hair and made me look at him, his red eyes darken from anger " what did that witch do to you, how come I can't perceive a dream walker scent from you "
" maybe am not a dream walker "
He frown, grab my hair, pulling me on the floor to where ever he is taking me to, it feels like he is pulling my hair from my skull, blood flow to my forehead, the pain is too much and I think I might die soon
Throwing me into the room, I look around the whole place, so dark I could barely see a thing, hugging my knee to my naked body I remain still " spend the night here and be careful, skeletons and spiders are everywhere.. Tomorrow we continue with your torment " with that he close the door
Bending my head I cry silently, why is all these happening to me??? Where is my brother, is he dead, alive?? If he is alive where is he??
Will faith allow me to die in here, if I pray to the goddess of hope will I be saved, mama said we should only pray to god but where was he when they were been killed
Do he really exist
Was mama doing the right thing by going to church always
Maybe kaia is right
God create humans while Zeus create beings like us, we should pray to Zeus instead, maybe this time my prayers will be answered
Deccan walk into his study room, the black raven standing by his window side caught his attention, a note attach to its foot, moving towards the window he grab the bird before untieing the letter and opening it wide
I DO NOT APPRECIATE IT WHEN MY PERSON IS TAKEN AWAY FROM ME NOR WILL I TOLERATE IT IF ANYTHING HAPPEN TO MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BETTY. BE WARNED.
squeezing the letter I throw it out of the window, only one person could talk to me this way, Verdun, one of the Dawson brothers " Knox!!!" Growling I begin to pace in the room, that little girl belong to him, that's his precious thing
" master" hearing Knox voice I fast speed towards his direction and hold him by the neck " how could you bring Verdun precious here, do you know the kind of trouble you have caused " adding pressure to his neck I watch his face grow pale before I let him go
He fall down and cough " I have no idea she belong to him, she is a small child, how am I suppose to know he holds her in big regard, I saw her in the dream walker village holding her rabbit and running into the forest " Knox explained but the mistake is already done
" go get her" I look at him " find nice clothes for her and make sure you feed her then take her to a nice bed. The last thing I need right now is having my people eliminated...one more thing, bring that witch to me" I knew it was strange for her to be with such necklace, I should have realize she belongs to verdun
" yes master" watching him leave I clench my fist, you might be leading now Verdun but you just wait, by the time I get enough life force to be strong just like you, I will show you how cruel I can be
The door open revealing kaia " come here " I watch her swallow before moving towards my direction " what did you do to that little girl "
" I took her life force "
" why is she still alive"
" that necklace made things a little difficult " she mumble frowning " for a young girl she has incredible powers" grabbing her by her hair she yelp in pain " I told you, I took what I can!!!"
" are you trying to fool me by any chance kaia " I growl " don't forget I saved you " she hit my hands away and glare at my way
" you never saved me, you ruin my life " hearing her voice mix with anger and hatred I smile " what will you do to me, you're a witch, go ahead and kill me "
Before she could react Knox step in " alpha Verdun is here "
