Chapter Two : BLUE EYES 2
Stepping back my heart won't stop beating fast, feeling my legs step on the dead body beneath me I swallow hard hoping someone will come and save me " I was looking for a rabbit " my voice shuddering as I looked at the huge man before me.
Its the first time I have seen a giant, he is just so huge and I know the back of his hand can kill me, I watch him lean on the tree and fall down slowly growling out through gritted teeth, my gaze lower to his bleeding stomach, the hole in them seem so deep.
Turning around to run I stop then glance back at him again, he look so hurt and will need help, mama always say help the needing and I think God send me into here to help this old man.
Moving back to him, I watch his brows inched high, his eyes studying me slowly " I just want to help you " my voice tiny " mama said is good to do good to people " removing my blue hair ribbon I move to his wound and wrap it slowly around him even when it took some time because of how huge he is, he grunts and I won't lie, he is scaring me.
Mama has always said I am too sharp and smart for my age and I hate that now" here take some apples, ma said it gives strength " his blue eyes look at the apple and it seem like he won't take it so I move it to his lips, he surprisingly open his mouth and take a bite.
When the bleeding stop I unwrap the ribbon and place my hands on his stomach" mama said I shouldn't show people my powers but since you're hurt I might help you heal" I look up at him " mama said we are dream walkers, we heal our kind but you look so hurt that I will give you a try " he haven't said a word " there, all healed up " I look up at him " wait here, I will rush home and get some more food and water" standing up I hand him the basket of the apple " you can keep the apples "
Nodding I run out of the forest back home, opening the door everyone stand up, they look so worried " where were you Betty " mama rush to my side looking down at me " you scared us, we thought something bad had happened "
" no mama I went into...." I stop knowing if I said the truth they will not let go back to see him anymore " I went into the church and confessed, sorry for taking long mama, papa" I look at them and their shoulder relax
" come here " papa pull me into his arms " go to your room and sleep"nodding my head I run to my room, I lay down for awhile, when the house went quite I stand up and tip toe to the kitchen, taking enough food and water
Verdun remain still with one word in his head, that little girl is bossy, what will such a small girl be doing in the woods?? Didn't her parents warn her of night creatures that use dream walkers life force to increase their strength
lifting her blue hair ribbon I look at them, this little girl has a good heart, I could have killed her in a blink of an eye, she wasn't scared of how huge I am either. She wanted to help and she did.
For her to heal me was imperative, being a lycan means I can heal fast but when stabbed with a cursed sword it bleed till death find you but this time life found me instead.
My gaze move to my right, she move slowly to my side with another basket, sweat could be seen on her forehead " I brought food " she smiled brightly but I said nothing just look at her " this is called rice" of course I know what rice is " here" she hand it over to me, I look at her small hands and her small figure.
Groaning I collect the plate from her before eating, she just sit and study me while I feast on her food, finishing it all before gulping down the water " my name is Betty " she said collecting the plate and putting them back in the basket " I have to hurry back if not mama will get worried "
I said nothing just stare at her but then at least I should tell her my name even if today might be the last time she see me, staying in someone else territory is not good for someone like me " Verdun" my voice husky as always but she didn't flinch as I expected she smile just like the little girl she is.
" I almost forgot " she take out a blanket from the basket and hand to me, its so small, small enough to cover someone like her. When she hand it to me and I open it she look disappointed " I should have taken mama blanket "
" is okay " I have never been fond of talking but in this situation it seem necessary
" I brought pillows too so that those wood won't hurt your head" she hand me pillows, pink girly pillows " I have to go now" the need to protect her crush into my chest
" take " I remove my necklace and put it around her neck " a way of saying thank you, take care of it " she look at it and nod her head looking happy, it is always easy to please a child and she has no idea what's around her neck.
" I will" with that she wave her hands and run along, resting my head on the tree I exhale. It took another five minutes before my beta and omega arrived
" sorry we are late alpha " they mumble and I nod simply tired after the long fight " is that a pink thing on your lap" Edward his beta gasp shocked and I was still wondering why I haven't thrown it away yet
" of course its a pink thing " Nolan his omega mumble shaking his head " but alpha, are you into little girls now" frowning I look at him while he lift his hands " am just curious "
" just help me the fuck up you two block head " growling I frown shoving the blanket and pillow off my lap
